Everything you need to know before joining ARiA. Can't find your answer? We're one email away.

ARiA is for singers who already have the skills, but feel something is still missing. If you've been singing for a while and still haven't found the sound that feels truly yours, this residency was built for you.
You don't need to be a professional. You need to be ready to be honest with yourself. Each edition welcomes only 10 singers, adults only (18+).

ARiA is not about learning more technique. Vocal coaching (Modern Vocal Training) is part of the week, but it serves a bigger goal: helping you discover who you are as a singer and what your music sounds like when it's fully yours.
Across six days, you'll work on artistic identity, songwriting, arrangements and production, with professional recording equipment on site so your ideas can become demos the moment they arrive.

Every journey starts with the residency.

Included: accommodation at Les 3 Palmiers, three meals a day, airport transfers on arrival and departure, all workshops and sessions, recording equipment on site, Sabar lessons, a night with a griot, and in-country transport during planned activities.
Not included: flights, travel and health insurance, visa fees if applicable, and personal expenses.

Secure your place with a €100 deposit. After that, you can pay at your own pace, in as many instalments as you like, as long as the full amount is paid before the residency begins.
You can also pay more than the deposit upfront: every payment is deducted from your total.

Your place is confirmed once we receive your €100 deposit. We'll then send you all the details about your arrival by email.
If you need to cancel:
The deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your place and covers planning costs.
Prefer to come later? If you cancel up to 7 days before the residency, you can transfer your payment (excluding the deposit) to a future session within one year. Transfers are allowed once.
If the residency has to be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, you can transfer your payment or receive a full refund, deposit included.

Many nationalities can visit Senegal without a visa for stays of up to three months, including most European countries, the United States, Canada and many African countries. Your passport must be valid for at least six months.
Entry rules can change, so please check the latest requirements for your nationality before you book.
Consult your doctor about recommended vaccinations for Senegal. A yellow fever certificate is required if you arrive from, or transit through, a country with a risk of yellow fever.

Health insurance covering travel to Senegal is mandatory. Please make sure you're covered before registering. We also recommend insurance that covers cancellation.

Fly into Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS), Senegal's main international airport. Senegal is well connected to Europe, North America and the rest of Africa.
Please book your flights once your place is confirmed. Our Flight Advice page has everything you need to plan your trip.

Airport transfers are included. A shuttle picks you up on arrival and drops you back at the airport at the end of your stay.
Send us your flight details once booked. We'll email you all timing details closer to the date.

Your home for the week is Les 3 Palmiers, a newly built private villa in Ngaparou, steps from the ocean.
A 3,000 m² estate with lush gardens and a pool, a main house and four private bungalows, all air-conditioned. Rooms are shared by two people, each with its own bathroom.

Everything is possible.
Travelling with another singer, a friend or a partner? Just let us know when you book, and we'll put you in the same room.
Coming alone? You'll share a room with another participant, a great way to connect from day one.

Three meals are served every day. Senegalese food is bold, generous and deeply communal: you'll taste Thieboudienne, the national dish, Yassa and Mafé, among others.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free? Let us know when you register, and we'll prepare accordingly.

You'll find a piano, guitars and professional recording equipment on site, and two musicians will be available to support you throughout the week.
You're welcome to bring your own instrument if you feel more at home with it.

Pack light and comfortable. A few essentials:

Each day balances creative work and rest. After the afternoon sessions, you'll have free time before dinner to rest by the pool, walk to the ocean, write, or simply let the day settle. Evenings are for sharing: a welcome night, a night with a griot, and relaxed evening activities with the group.

Senegal is known for its stability and its warm hospitality. Our team lives here and stays with the group throughout the residency. As anywhere you travel, use common sense with your belongings, and follow your team's advice during outings.

Sessions are held in English. Senegal's official language is French, and a translator is always present for activities with local participants.
Our team also speaks French, Portuguese and Spanish, so you can always ask questions in the language you're most comfortable with.
